4. Lob Shot

You
are behind a bunker and the pin is tucked close to the bunker.You need to fly it over the bunker like a butterfly and let it sting the ground like a bee so that it stops close to the pin.
Try this tip the next time you are in a similar situation. I call it the
Lob Shot Formula
- Pull out your most lofted wedge, preferably a lob or sand wedge
- At address, set up the club's loft so that the ball will go high
- THEN grip the club
- Your goal is to return the club through the ball's equator with the same lofted position that you set up at address
- Make sure you rehearse this on the practice swing and use the Hilly Lie Formula from article #3 as necessary
- Swing in a slow or slow motion pace back and through at the same rate
